I have been reading for many years.  Meditation and Hypnosis have helped me open up to my many gifts and my gift of knowing.  My pendulum and my cards are used to bridge the connection between your energy and mine.  Our guides lead us to more clarity for the questions we ask.  Ultimately the path you take and the choices you make in creating your future and a fulfilling life are your own.  You are number one.  When you love yourself first, you have more love to give others.  In giving to others, remember to open to receiving as well.

WHAT IS TAROT?

Tarot cards are a form of divination used to measure potential outcomes and evaluate influences surrounding a person, event, or both. The cards are often viewed as having no power at all and are simply a guideline to aid the intuitive reader.  The reader is simply interpreting the probable outcome based upon the forces presently at work.  A Tarot reading should not be seen as coming with any guarantee of ultimate outcomes.  It just gives the subject additional information so that the person asking the questions can make a more informed choice.

SPREADS

A spread is the arrangement of cards dealt in a reading. Each position is associated with a different aspect         of the posed question. There are numerous spreads but the most common are the Three Fates and the Celtic Cross.

The Three Fates consists of three cards representing the past, the second card representing the present, and the third representing the future.

The Celtic Cross consists of ten cards representing the past, present, future, personal hopes, and conflicting influences.

CARD ASPECTS

A Standard tarot deck consists of two groups of cards: Major Arcana and Minor Arcana.

The Major Arcana are stand-alone cards of which there are 22, with their own unique meanings focused on the material world, the intuitive mind and the realm of change. These include cards such as the Fool, the Sun, the Moon, Strength, the Tower and Temperance.

The Minor Arcana, of which there are 56 cards, is similar to a deck of regular playing cards. They are divided into four suits with themes, Swords (Spades), Cups (Hearts), Wands (Clubs) and Pentacles (Diamonds) having cards from Ace through 10, and then face cards representing the page, knight, queen and king.  The Swords generally indicate conflict or moral issues, Cups reflect matters of emotion and relationships, Pentacles focus on the material aspects of life, such as security and finance, and Wands represent things like jobs, ambition, and activity.

CHOOSING A TAROT DECK

There are hundreds of Tarot decks available. Some are based upon famous books, legends, mythology, artwork and even movies. In choosing a deck for yourself, choose a deck that attracts you and feels good to you.  Although books and charts come in handy, the best way to actually become familiar with your cards is by holding them, feeling them and to go through the deck card by card and decipher what you see and feel.  The messages you get won’t necessarily be what someone else may but those are the messages meant for you personally                   TOP

PENDULUM

Pendulum.jpg
A pendulum is a commumication tool. Personal items such as  rings and pendants hanging on a chain, string or ribbon can perform well.  In a pinch, I have used my car keys which are on a chain.  A crystal or semi precious stone pendulum can be found online.

Pendulum divination (also known as pendulum dowsing or scrying) is a method of obtaining answers to questions, determining probabilities & possibilities, and a useful way of receiving guidance, much as you would by using tarot cards, scrying mirrors, spirit boards, runes, and etc.

A pendulum is a tool that hones in on the psychic powers within each of us. A pendulum can also be used to obtain information that has been lost to us through repressed memories or have been forgotten. Pendulums can also be used to reveal truths that we already know, but have not come to terms with.

The subconcious, as the person's intuitive self, Spirits, your higher self, may influence, and give correct answers, through the pendulum.   Like any divination tool, however, it may be influenced by lower spirits who may attempt to trifrom ck you.  Just like asking a human, you should be careful whom you choose to get answers.  Blessing the pendulum decreases the chances of a mal-intented spirit influencing the pendulum.

Should you choose to purchase your own pendulum, I have listed some important information.

CLEANSE YOUR PENDULUM

Whether you have made or bought your pendulum, it is very important that you purify it. Fill a bowl with fresh pure water and add a little sea salt.  Say a cleansing prayer: "Purge me from all negative energy.  Create in me the cleanest and clearest of hearts.  Renew the highest of spirit within me". Dip both ends of the pendulum into the water for a few minutes. Rinse with clear water and dry with a clean towel.  On the night of the full moon, place it in the moonlight and leave it until the following morning.

ENERGIZE and PROGRAM YOUR PENDULUM

Place it under your pillow at night and carry it with you for a couple of days in a velvet or silk cloth. It will tune into your energy. You will then be ready to test its power. Relax.  Place your bent elbow on a sturdy surface.  Bend your hand loosely at the wrist.  Holding the chain between the thumb and forefinger, let the pendulum hang down over the palm of your opposite hand by about an inch. It should not touch anything or anyone.  Make sure your hand and arm are completely still and relaxed. Wait until the crystal has stopped swinging at the end of the chain before you begin or just say STOP. Ask a question in which you know the answer is YES. The crystal should begin to move.  Whatever pattern of the movement, take note that this will always be your YES answer. Repeat the question to verify.  Follow the same steps, asking a question to which you know the answer is NO.  Again, note the movements and this should always be your  'no' answer.  Follow the same steps for a “maybe” answer.  Your pendulum is now ready to work for you.

BLESSING THE PENDULUM

Before each session, the pendulum should be blessed from stating that only higher beings, my guides, my angels (or whatever being you wish to contact) may influence the pendulum, to smudging (burning incense) and other purification techniques.  The pendulum should also be purified after the session, to remove any residue the spirit may have left behind which may influence the next session.

BEFORE EACH SESSION

Always test the pendulum at the beginning of the session before asking your questions.  "Show me my yes" Should cause it to swing in one direction; "Show me my No" should cause it to swing in a different direction.  It is also good to tell it to "Go to center" or "Stop" between questions, so that the swing of the pendulum won't be influenced by the last question's response.  Once tested, ask the pendulum if it wishes to work with you. Ask a few trial questions to make sure its working properly. ("Is my name (your name)?" v.s. "Is my name Superman?")

PROPER USE

Possibly one of the greater benefits of using the pendulum for divination is that it teaches us to frame questions in a clear and precise manner - to analyze and simplify situations and desires.

As in all divination techniques, it is important that questions be phrased clearly, so that no misinterpretation can be made. "Is it going to rain?" is unclear.  "Is it going to rain in Los Angeles today?" is more apt to get a correct response.  If you are working on personal problems, like a buried trauma, first ask the pendulum if it can find the problem. If the answer is yes, then structure your questions to zero in on it.

If you ask a question and the pendulum doesn't respond, rephrase the question or ask again at another time. Basically, this is a tool to tap into your intuition, or alternatively, your spirit guide, to get information. For this reason, it works best if you are asking questions about things that are in your power to control, i.e. "Should I consider changing jobs at this time?" or "Is so-and-so someone that I can trust?" Asking "Will I meet my dream man/woman today" doesn't really work because that is not something in your personal realm that you can control. And, unfortunately, it can't give you this week's winning lottery numbers.

If, after several questions, the pendulum starts swinging in random directions, ask it if it wishes to discontinue the session.  If yes, put the pendulum away and try again another time.

Always treat your pendulum with respect and show gratitude for the answers it has given.
